Minecraft was initially released to the public on May 17, 2009, as a developmental release by Markus "Notch" Persson. The full version, officially called Minecraft: Java Edition, was later released on November 18, 2011. It was during this time that the game gained significant popularity and recognition. Additionally, Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, which includes the version for Windows 10, was released on July 29, 2015.
